Brazil Data Cube team presented a mini-course at SBSR-2023
The Brazil Data Cube project team gave a mini-course on “Earth Observation Data Cubes and Time Series Analysis of Remote Sensing Images” at the 20th Brazilian Symposium on Remote Sensing (SBSR-2023) in Florianópolis, SC on April 2nd, 2023.
The course, which lasted 8 hours, aimed to provide an introduction to the concepts of Earth observation data cubes and remote sensing image time series analysis. It consisted of both theoretical and practical hands-on (using R language) sessions, using the data cubes and software packages produced by the Brazil Data Cube project (https://data.inpe.br/bdc/web/). The course covered the products generated by the BDC, tools for accessing and discovering data, extracting time series, extracting land use and cover trajectories, and introduced the SITS package, which includes sample evaluation and time series classification. The course was attended by 24 participants from various institutions.
