Overview

An image mosaic of the Sentinel-2 images covering the Paraíba State in Brazil. It was created from a Sentinel-2 data cube, with 10 meters of spatial resolution images, from November of 2019 until January 2020, using the Least Cloud Cover First (LCF).

The technologies developed in the Brazil Data Cube project helped in the mosaic generation, mainly in the stages of scene selection and composition of tiles free of clouds and cloud shadows. The product generation uses the composition function (Stack) to select the best pixel belonging to the months of November and December 2019 and also January of 2020.
The step of joining the tiles and cutting were done manually, and finally, the Geotiff has been converted from 16-bit to 8-bit to save space. The final product is an RGB color composite of the respective Red (B4), NIR (B8), and Green (B3) bands.
