The BDC team provided training on its data and software products this week
This week, from 08/29/2022 to 09/02/2022, the Brazil Data Cube (BDC) team provided training on the project’s data and software products.
The training lasted 20 hours, with practical parts using Python and R programming languages through jupyter notebooks in a Kaggle environment and had the participation of 58 researchers and fellows from INPE and some external partner projects.
The training covered concepts on Earth observation data cubes, image time series analysis and machine learning, using the project’s software tools: BDC Explorer Platform, TerraCollect, Sample, WTSS (Web Time Series Service), WLTS (Web Land Trajectory Service) and the SITS (Satellite Image Time Series) package in R..
Check out 3 messages from participants at the end of the training:
“Hi guys. Your work is just fantastic. The BDC and its inputs are part of something very powerful. I think every INPE student should be encouraged to have contact with BDC at some point. It is a fantastic tool and 100% national. Congratulations to all!!!”
“Guys, thank you very much for this super productive week! A great weekend to everyone!”
