The Brazil Data Cube (BDC) team participated in Geopública 2025, held in Salvador, Bahia, delivering a presentation on September 16, 2025. The talk was given by Dr. Karine Ferreira Gomes, Head of the Earth Observation and Geoinformatics Division at INPE, who discussed the project’s objectives and the challenges of handling large volumes of data.
Geopública is a key event that brings together leaders, researchers, producers, and users to discuss the use of geotechnologies in public administration. The 2025 edition explored the theme “Public Data, Smart Decisions! The Role of GEO AI in Public Governance,” emphasizing the growing importance of geospatial and artificial intelligence technologies in improving public decision-making.
Launched in 2011, Geopública has been instrumental in strengthening collaboration among geospatial communities within the public sector. The 2025 edition was organized by CECAR and coordinated by SEI, bringing together experts from the public, private, and academic sectors to share knowledge through panels, lectures, workshops, and networking activities.
